Terms of Service

Last updated: July 19, 2026

1. Agreement and eligibility

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and the operator of drawDB (“drawDB,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They govern your access to drawDB’s hosted websites, applications, APIs, collaboration tools, AI features, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service for an organization, you represent that you may bind it to these Terms.

You must be legally able to enter into this agreement. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with permission and supervision from a parent or guardian.

2. The Service and open-source software

drawDB provides tools for designing, storing, exporting, sharing, and collaborating on database diagrams. Features and limits depend on your plan and may change as the Service evolves. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, but will provide reasonable notice when a material change adversely affects a paid subscription where practicable or required by law.

Software we release under an open-source license is governed by that license, not these Terms, to the extent the two conflict. These Terms govern the hosted Service and any proprietary features.

3. Accounts and teams

You must provide accurate information, keep your sign-in methods secure, and promptly notify us at support@drawdb.app of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account, except to the extent caused by our breach of these Terms.

Team administrators may add or remove members, manage permissions and billing, and access or control content belonging to the team. If you join a team, the team and its administrators may control your access to team content. You are responsible for maintaining your own exports or backups of important content.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of diagrams, schemas, prompts, and other content you submit to the Service (“User Content”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, transmit, process, display, and modify User Content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service, comply with law, and follow your sharing instructions. This license ends when the content is deleted from our systems, subject to reasonable backup and legal-retention periods.

You represent that you have the rights needed to submit User Content and that doing so will not violate law or another person’s rights. Shared links and collaboration invitations may allow others to view or edit content; you are responsible for choosing appropriate sharing settings.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

  • break the law or infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
  • upload malware or harmful code, or facilitate fraud, abuse, or harassment;
  • gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or non-public data;
  • interfere with or overload the Service, bypass limits, or evade security controls;
  • scrape or access the Service by automated means except through an authorized API;
  • resell the hosted Service or misrepresent affiliation with drawDB; or
  • use output from the Service as a substitute for required professional review where errors could cause harm.

We may investigate suspected violations and remove content or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect the Service, users, or third parties.

6. AI features

AI-generated suggestions may be inaccurate, incomplete, or similar to content generated for others. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before using them, including generated schemas or SQL. Do not submit sensitive personal information, secrets, or content you are not authorized to share. AI features may be subject to additional limits and third-party provider terms.

7. Paid plans, renewal, and taxes

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for paid orders, provides buyer payment support, and handles returns. Prices, billing interval, taxes, trial terms, and any seat-based charges are shown before purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew for the same billing period until canceled, and Paddle charges the payment method on file at each renewal. By purchasing, you also agree to Paddle’s Buyer Terms.

You may cancel in your drawDB billing settings or through the link in your Paddle receipt. A paid subscription normally remains active until the end of its current billing period; a trial may end immediately when canceled. Cancel before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy and mandatory law.

8. Intellectual property and feedback

Except for User Content and open-source components, the Service and its software, design, trademarks, and documentation are owned by us or our licensors. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service. If you send feedback, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to use it without restriction or compensation.

9. Third-party services

The Service may link to or integrate with third-party services. Their terms and privacy practices govern your use of them. We are not responsible for third-party services, but this does not limit any responsibility we cannot lawfully exclude.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may request account deletion by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, create security or legal risk, fail to pay, or misuse the Service. Where appropriate, we will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to cure. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive will remain in effect.

11. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure, or that generated output will be accurate. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, drawDB and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business interruption. Our total liability arising out of the Service will not exceed the greater of US $100 or the amount you paid for the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law, including liability that cannot be limited for fraud, willful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

13. Indemnity for business use

If you use the Service for a business, you will defend and indemnify drawDB against third-party claims arising from your User Content, unlawful use of the Service, or material breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law. This section does not apply to consumers acting wholly outside a trade or profession.

14. Governing rules and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the drawDB operator, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except that mandatory laws and courts in your place of residence remain available where required. Before filing a formal claim, contact us and allow 30 days for an informal resolution. Nothing prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief or using a small-claims process where available.

15. Changes and general terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the revised version and effective date and, for material changes, provide reasonable advance notice through the Service or by email where required. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance, unless law requires another form of consent. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains effective. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.
